Acer Aspire 6930G Laptop Notebook Review

* This Review/Guide is about the Acer Aspire Laptop 6930G-643G25Bn Laptop Notebook.

* I bought this product for my Mum. However, since I know more about setting up computers, I did all the setting up with this one and thus, this Review/Guide is the result.

Out of the Box:

The laptop got a very shiny top, which immediately you'll find that it is a fingerprint magnet. I brushed it off and joked to myself, "Fingerprint reader, fingerprint magnet...ok...!".

I put the battery in the battery slot at the bottom of the unit and connected the AC/DC adaptor/power supply to the left hand side of the unit and the UK plug to the wall socket. I let the laptop sit for 5 minutes before powering up.

After going through setting up Windows Vista Home Premium and the user account, you finally arrive to the user desktop. First thing I did was to burn the Factory Recovery DVD (2x DVD) and Drivers and Applications DVD (1x DVD) using Acer's own Empowering software.

Next up is I uninstalled 3rd-party bundled applications that will be little or of no use to my Mum's intended use for the notebook/laptop. I did not uninstall anything with Acer on it, even the games.

Appreciating The Features:

After the laptop/notebook had been setup (it took me 1 to 2 hours as I fully customized 2x user accounts), only then you can truly appreciate the features of this machine. Yes, you might have noticed how fast it is compared to other laptops while you do the setting up, but let us talk about hardware.

The fingerprint reader works as you will see it pop up at the upper left hand of the monitor once you swipe your finger through the scanner. I have yet to setup this as I need Mum's fingerprint to do it.

The mouse touchpad as most reviewers say as inconvenient as it is off-center, located near left, is not inconvenient at all.The surface of the touchpad is not satin-smooth like regular laptops. This is a brilliant innovation as your fingers don't stick to the touchpad (if you have sweaty fingers). The little grooves also massages your fingers (they actually tickles), making the touchpad fun to use. You only need the lightest of touch to use the touchpad, and that's how sensitive it is (and I thought it wouldn't be because of the grooves). This hardware is fantastic and brilliant.

The 16" monitor/screen is very bright, clearand crisp, AC or battery powered (dims a little when battery operated, but still very bright and clear). You will have nothing to complain about, like glare and stuff. By today's standards you kind of expect something like this and so saying, you get your money's worth with this hardware.

There is a built-in webcam and microphone on top of the monitor/screen but I don't have any use for them yet and thus untested. However, I would not miss the opportunity to test the built-in speakers and subwoofer on this unit. I put the laptop side-by-side with my own Compaq 2552EA (yes, I know its old). I let the 2 laptops play the same music fileusing the same music software (same versions and all). The Compaq produced its usual loud screaming sound out of the speakers. The Acer however, produced a non-screaming sound, but rather a sound that is full of dimension, one that you come to get used to when watching on a TV with an S-Force Surround system. Very, very, very nice!!!

I wanted to play more music on it but I must resist and move on... I let the Acer play an AVI file using a 3rd-party software (because Acer's own does not have the codecsto play my particular AVI file) to test the graphics more. Waaa!!! Out of the speakers came thundering sounds!!! When they said this thing got a subwoofer they did not tell youit is aproper subwoofer! Again, a testament to how wonderful-sounding this unit is. The video played not so good, with rectangular artifacts - the same ones you see when watching VCD movies. I re-played the AVI using my Compaq and there were no rectangular artifacts. Please note that I did not tinker with Acer's video display or with the NVIDIA settings, playing the file using default settings. Also note that my Compaq is loaded with all multimedia codecs imaginable (well, almost all...) and the Acer is using the default codecs that came with the 3rd-party software I installed in it. I think this Acer will produce fantastic video results when playing Blu-Ray and HD movies, which however cannot be compared to my Compaq because it can't play any of those formats. Besides, Blu-Ray and HD-movies is what this laptop is designed for.

The hard drive and fans of this unit is quiet (extremely quiet compared to my Compaq). The BD-ROM drive is fast by laptop standards.

The nicest thing about this Acer is that it has a feather-touch multimedia control and application buttons. That means you can control the playback of your music using these controls instead, or turn on the integrated Bluetooth by tapping on its button instead of going through Control Panel. The Empowering software also got it's own button so you do not need to look for it's shortcuton your desktop or list of programs. These features are not new to laptops but Acer made the buttons look like they are just light indicators, making them discreet. How fun is it to make a computer genius look dumb when you see him browsing through Control Panel for Bluetooth when all you got to do is tap a button he thought was just an indicator. Ha ha ha! What fun!!! Oh yeah, and for the lazy, this unit also comes with a remote... a laptop that is also a TV and a component system... and you keep saying this thing is expensive???

Conclusion:

Features I like..

If you use Keywords and do Spamming - READ THIS!!!!!!!!

Not worth doing!!! It will only get your listing/s removed : )In my
experience, I have listed something on ebay, written a few keywords in
the title (which relate to the item for sale) and have had the listing
removed. I got charged for the fees for doing it too. It was something
really simple, and didnt deserve to be done. I think a warning before
the listing gets removed would be very fair. Found it very harsh after
spending a huge amount of time listing something for sale, then only
for the listing to be deleted completely off in the ebay!!!!!Not good at all. My advice, be careful what you put in your titles/descriptions!Cant work out the rules on Part Exchange or Swapping either yet?Something
else that annoys a lot of users, I have had, and seen listings get
removed for saying things like "This item is advertised elsewhere" or
"Seller reserves the right to end listing early" (well not before ebay
does it for you!!!)Just a notice so that people are made aware. Take it however you want!!!I just hope that this guide page helps you out and stops your listing from getting deleted completely off in the ebay!

Willkommen bei rallytour.

Agility istein beliebter Hundesport.

Tisch

Der Tisch sollte fr groe Hunde die Mae: L/B/H 1m x 1m x 0,60m
haben.Die Flche mit rutschfestem Material versehen sein. Will der Hund

nicht so recht auf den Tisch springen, was durchaus vorkommt, hier
eine bewhrte Methode.Setzt euch auf den Tisch und lockt den Hund so
oft bis

er draufspringt.Es kann sein das der Hund wohl auf den Tisch
springt, jedoch sofort wieder runter.

Buying an Industrial Floor Polisher / Scrubbing Machine

I am writing this short guide to assist in the purchase of used and new Industrial Floor Polishing and Floor Scrubbing machines from Ebay.

In so many instances the sellers of these machines have know idea what they are selling or what their particular machine is suitable for.

In choosing a floor machine the first priority must be to determine the speed of the machine that you require. Machines are manufactured in roughly the following speeds:

Low Speed : Between 120 and 200 rpm

Medium Speed : Between 200 and 270 rpm

High Speed : Between 270 and 400 rpm

Ultra High Speed : Between 900 and 2000 rpm

The low and medium speed machines are idealy suited to scrubbing floors, stripping floors of old polish and carpet shampooing. They will also polish floors but it can take some time!

Medium speed machines can be used for scrubbing and stripping floors, carpet cleaning with a bonnet mop or carpet padand are a little quicker to achieve results when polishing or 'Spray Cleaning' floors.

High speed machines are used mainly for polishing and spray cleaning floors. If you try to scrub with these machines, the water tends to fly around quite a bit and the results can be poor to average.

Ultra high speed machines are only used for polishing or burnishing floors (the friction heats the surface polish and hardens it).

So you have determined what speed or machine best suits you particular aplication, now decide what size of machine you require. The size of the machine is normally given as the diameter of the pad or brush used by the unit ie: from 11" up to 21" (there are some larger machines but these are normally propane powered, are used in hypermarkets/superstoresand are rare on Ebay).

Finally, its good to check what attachements will be supplied with the machine. A solution tanks will be useful when scrubbing and stripping floors and essential when scrubbing carpets.

A pad drive board is normally essential. It fits to the base of the machine with a twist action and is spiked. This unit is used to hold floor pads which are available in many colours to do different jobs ie white pads for buffing, black pads for scrubbing and stripping. As a rough guide to pad selection, the darker the colour, the coarser and the lighter the colour the finer/softer the pad.

If the pad drive is not supplied with the machine, a new replacement could be anything from 50 to 150, and a scrubbing tank between 50 and 100, so beware.

Health and Safety. Industrial floor polishers should idealy be used by persons who have either had some training or at least have been shown how they operate. Most of the main manufacturershave instruction manuals that can be downloaded from their websites,so if you are a novice, I would strongly advise you do this and read thoroughly before attempting to operate the machine.

Finally, used floor machines appear regularly on Ebay and aswe would expect them to have a useful life of between 15 and 25 years, theycan be a great buy.

I hope that this guide will be of assistance.

How to package book

Clean the book.

If the cover is uncoated paper, you may be able to use an eraser to remove some smudges, but be gentle. If the dust jacket or paper cover is glossy, you can take off dirt and stray marks by spraying a little Windex on a paper towel and gently wiping off the cover. Be careful not to get Windex on the pages. Sometimes a slightly damp dishcloth is all you need. Give the book cover a moment to dry out before you wrap it. Lighter fluid can be used to remove stubborn stickers from glossy covers -- soak the sticker for 20 seconds or so and then peel it off -- but keep in mind that lighter fluid is harmful to skin.

Protect it from moisture. When the cover has dried, wrap the book(s) in some kind of plastic in case the box gets stuck under a drain spout at some point along the way. The plastic sleeves in which newspapers are delivered to homes are the right size for most books. Put the book in the bag, fold over the top of the bag, and tape it with packaging tape. Don't over-tape; use just enough to tape down the edges. It's a pain if the recipient has to cut off yards of tape to get to the book. Add whatever notes you want the recipient to get.

To qualify for the Media Mail rate, which is the best shipping rate the U.S. Post Office offers for books, don't add personal letters or non-book items, or you'll have to pay the higher Parcel Post or Priority rates. Mail a card by itself and tell the person that a book is coming separately. (The card almost always arrives first.) If you didn't include a commercial packing slip, write a duplicate address label to include inside the box in case the original label is torn off or becomes otherwise unreadable.

Consider sending a paperback book in a padded envelope. A box is still best, especially if the book is valuable or sentimental to either you or the recipient. However, paperbacks don't have the overhanging covers and exposed corners that hardbacks do, so they travel better in envelopes than do hardcovers. Use a box that is larger than the book. For hardcovers, find a cardboard box that is a little larger than the book. If you don't mind paying the higher Priority Mail rate, you can use the Priority Mail boxes that the post office provides free (it's a service you get for paying more). But you cannot use these boxes and still get the cheaper Media Mail rate. Make a reused box look fresh. If you're reusing a box, you can make it look nice for the recipient by turning it inside out. Just find the spot where the box is glued together. Usually it's just one seam. You can separate that seam with a butter knife, turn the box inside out, and retape that seam. Voil! You have a nice, clean box. If you reuse a box but don't (or can't) turn it inside out, scribble through the old addresses, labels, and markings with a big marker, or put adhesive stickers over them. Tape the bottom. You know how you can fold the flaps of a box together so you don't have to use tape? Don't do this when you're shipping books. Fold the small side flaps in, then close the large flaps so they meet perfectly and tape the seam with packing tape or strapping tape. Leave plenty of overhang for the tape to go up the sides of the box, which makes it stronger. Add packing material. Set the box right-side up, with the top open. Layer the inside bottom of the box with some packaging material -- packing peanuts, air bags, Styrofoam, crumpled plastic grocery bags, or crushed newspaper as a last resort (newspaper is relatively heavy and adds to the shipping cost). Fill in the box. Set the book (wrapped in plastic) on the layer of packing material. Fill in the space around the book with more packing material, then fill the box to the top. You want the book to stay firmly in the middle of the box and not slide around. Can the book still shift? The key is to close the flaps of the box when you finish packing, but don't seal it yet. Shake the box. If you can feel or hear rustling or movement, add more packing material until the box is packed just enough to prevent any movement within. This will protect the book from getting beaten up, no matter what your box goes through. Write the address on the top flap of the box before you tape it closed, or put on an address label. Look up the 9-digit zip code under 'Find a ZIP Code' on the US Postal Service website; this will speed your package along its way. Write in ballpoint pen so the address won't smear if it gets wet, then cover the address (or label) with clear packing tape. Tape the box closed. Tape the top seam with one long piece of tape, then put tape over all the side seams as well to strengthen the box. Take the package to the post office. If you want to see how smart you are, ask the clerk the difference between Media Mail and Priority Mail rates. Wow! If you qualify for Media Mail rates, you saved a lot of money!
