If you sell Wimbledon Tickets, their solicitors may bid on your item to obtain your details.
You may then receive a letter.
Do not panic. Google the name of the solicitors plus "wimbledon tickets" for information.
You will find that while you should not really have sold the sports or concert tickets, Wimbledon do not have any grounds for the threats they make.
You should write to them and ask them to justify the lawfulness of their request and the level of damages they are claiming. It is normal in law that if you have breached a contract or committed another civil offence against someone, they are entitled to their damages which are essentially nil. They are not normally entitled to your gain. Wimbledon will attempt to ignore your questions, but you should stick to your guns.
