BUYING IN BULGARIA
False Eyelashes Scam ID's on UK ONLY Search-How 2 Spot
These sellersenterthe location of the goods with a UK address but unfortunately the chances are - your goods will come from Hong Kong or China!
Even if you try to avoid overseas sellers by selecting the UK Only search function, they will still appear...so you're not safe!
BE AWARE OFTHE DOWNSIDE OF BUYING FROM OVERSEAS SELLERS...........
Buying from outside the United Kingdom or the EUmay mean you are liable to be charged extra money for importingyour goods - this will be done by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs {HMRC}and Royal Mail or ParcelForce can also sting you for an extra 8 on top of that - just for processing it on behlaf of HMRC!
If your goods are faulty then you'll be expected to return them to the seller at your cost - and just imagine how expensive it will be to send goods to China or Hong Kong by a trackable service!
Here's a quick guide - you can read the other stuff if you like but this is what to look out for in a nutshell..if you only want to buy from true UK sellers!
Before you do anything, check out the bad feedback that's been left for them.....and how many of those negs have been mutually withdrawn!
There are websites that will let you see all the negs and neutral feedbacks in a row - it paints a good picture ... if you type thewords toolhaus.org into your web browser window or search box, then you can check out their bad feedback.!
If they don't combine shipping costs then your goods aren'tcoming from the UK
If you're paying a really low price for the goods themselves - like 99pand a ridiculously high price for postage, like 4 - 6, then they're a Hong Kong/Chinese seller
Ifthe photos of the goods you're searching forall look the same on the search page, even though they're from about 3 different sellers then they'll be Chinese/Hong Kongsellers- and probably the same one, too.
If you want to avoid being duped - then look for these tell-tale signs....
ITEM LOCATION....it may say...Shanghai,UK.......Hong Kong,UK...or even London orManchester!
This may be enough to reassure you but you need to check out where they're registered- this will be on the right hand side of the auction page...they generally say Hong Kong, China, even though the goods are supposedly located in the UK...BIG GIVEAWAY!
Here's some examples
SHIPPING COSTS....it may say a huge amount..like 6.99 and yet they only charge a really low amount for the goods...like 59p!!!! This is especially true of falseeyelash...nailgel sellers.....make-up brushesand nail art sellers...BIG GIVEAWAY!
SHIPPING METHOD...they generally say Royal Mail Standard Parcels Service....BIG GIVEAWAY!
COMBINED SHIPPING...these sellers don't generally offer combined shipping..or if they do...will only take off about 50p for the second item....BIG GIVEAWAY

Genuine Rubik's cubes and puzzles
How canyou tell a fake cubefrom the genuine item?
The best and simplest rule is 'LOOK FOR THE LOGO'. On all genuine Rubik's cubes there will be a Rubik's logo on one of the white squares, no logo and it's probably a cheap knock off. There were a few cubes that didnot have a logo but unless they are sealed in a plastic clear container it is impossable too tell from a picture whether it is an original or a fake. I wouldn't buy one!
If you cannot see the white side the chances are it does not have the logo, would you take a picture and not show the logo? but you can always ask the seller though, I have seen worse ebay mistakes.
How canyou tell a fake Rubik's Magic from the genuine item?
Again LOOK FOR THE LOGO. The original Rubik's Magic was black with 3 coloured rings and comprised of 8 tiles. A year after the RUBIK'S MAGIC the RUBIK'S MASTER MAGIC was released, they aresilver with 5 coloured rings and comprise of 12 tilies.
I'm interested in collecting, whats the best way of searching?
Try using the misspellings including RUBIKS, RUBIX, RUBICS, RUBICKS, dont forget too include the correct spelling RUBIK'Sand don't include the word cube. becausepuzzles are quite small and light itis always good tosearch world wide. This should bring you a lot more results.
I hope this guide has been helpfull and PLEASE RATE IT and if you have any questions then please feel free too contact me.
ENJOY SCRAPBOOKING? THEN YOU'LL ADORE SWAPPING ATC'S !
If you have enjoyed scrapbooking then why not look into the world of making Artist Trading Cards - or ATC's as they are known. Here I show you some examples and give an introduction to the 'create and swap' idea.
Atc's are cards 21/2 inches by 3 1/2 which you design and decorate yourself using whatever methods you want. Rubber stamping, collage, photography, fabrics, painting - anything goes! The idea is to just have fun and express yourself. You can add embelishments but try to keep the cards low enough to store in a plastic wallet. Many people use cardstock as the base, but there are no rules apart from those mentioned.
My personal favorites are the 'vintage' themed cards or ones with a 'distressed' finish. This method, made famous by Tim Holtz, involves giving cards and components a lived in or well worn look. He promotes the use of sandpaper to take the newness off photos and ephemera. Altered art is my preferred style - which means changing images to give them an individual look (like adding the starfish horns to the devil in the photo above right)
There are no rights or wrongs, no judges here...it's all about expressing your imagination and having fun!
If you want you can join a swap group - there are several Yahoo ones and a couple of e-Bay ones too. The concept is that a host puts forward a theme, you make a set number of cards and forward them to her by the due date and in return you get that number (or maybe one less) back. They'll all be different of course because they will be from other players around the globe, but all on the same theme.
The first step is to get your equipment and materials together. If you have done some cardmaking, or scrapbooking you probably have stuff you can use. Assemble things on the card to get some ideas together. Start putting on your background. If you are collaging it with layers of paper tissue and glue for example you might find it easier to work on an A4 sheet of card which cuts neatly up into 9 art cards later. On your background you might want to stamp and / or emboss, paint, draw, spray. Just experiment and have fun! Once you have an interesting background you can layer-on your images - die cuts, photos, messages, magazine clippings, embellishments, silk flowers, rhinestones, buttons- the list goes on and on.
Don't forget to sign and date it - it's you mini masterpiece.
Here are somes sets of cards....
Please don't leave this guide before giving it a YES vote below - it's free and anonymous. Thanks!
A Guide To Choosing CCTV Security Camera Systems
You can have CCTV professionally installed, and, in some circumstances this may be appropriate. However modern technology has made CCTV products much more affordable and for the average DIY person, easy to fit. With such a large selection of cameras and prices, it is difficult to decide what to select. We have the following guide to help you choose the correct products. We also provide simple illustrations of fitting, from complete systems to fitting in domestic and commercial properties. 'WIRE-LESS'A very popular system, wireless transmission is governed by regulations which allow licence-exempt systems to transmit signals up to 100 metres in line of sight. However this can reduce to about 30 metres when used indoors. Basic wireless cameras work on one frequency, this means you cannot use 2 cameras within 100 metres of each other. There are cameras and receivers with 4 selectable channels which allow for multi-camera systems. We also supply the small covert type of camera with its own built-in transmitter. See our product range.A 'wireless' camera requires a power source, this is usually obtained by plugging into the mains, making it not strictly 'wire-less'. Batteries, which have a finite life, are not suitable for permanent installations. The voltage required is in the range 9-12V DC. A power supply in the loft is often quite easily accessible. Wireless systems are used where running the video cable back to VCR or monitor is not viable. Wireless cameras can be used for temporary monitoring of stock rooms offices etc. Miniature wireless cameras, using battery power, can be fitted to model aircraft, trains, boats etc., with the receiver connected to a domestic camcorder, giving a realistic on-board experience.See our product range.'WIRED' Wired cameras have virtually no interference and can be positioned a long distance from the monitoring/recording equipment. The cameras rarely need their own power supply. Normally one cable takes power and signal back to the recording device. We supply DIY kits where the camera is powered by the base unit, eliminating the need to plug the camera in to a mains outlet. See our product range'TYPES of CAMERAS'A traditional CCTV camera has an 'industry style' look, making it unsuitable for fitting to homes or shops. Top-end cameras are usually specified without a lens and are chosen to give the focal length required and field of view. There are two common types of CCTV cameras, CMOS and CCD (see Glossary of terms). CMOS based cameras are generally cheaper but do not produce such clear or sharp images. If there is a need to easily identify who or what is being captured and recorded, CCD cameras provide pin-point clarity and are best where clarity is needed.Integrated cameras and lenses are sealed to prevent moisture damage. This sealing process enables them to be used under water if required. They do not need a heater and their size makes them suitable for fitting to domestic and commercial properties. Because they are permanently sealed it is not possible to adjust these cameras. Many integrated cameras are fitted with a 3.6mm lens giving a 72deg angle of view which is suitable for most domestic and small commercial properties. We also have cameras with a narrower angle of view allowing the cameras to 'see' further - the angle of view for all of our cameras is stated within the bullet point copy.COLOUR OR MONOCHROME?The human eye sees and recalls things better if they appear in colour - it's easier to track down someone with a red top and blue skirt than a grey dressed person that would see in monochrome. Colour cameras are more expensive than monochrome, but they are also less sensitive making night usage an impractical option unless good lighting is available. Monochrome cameras can offer Infra Red (IR) sensitivity making their use with covert IR illumination possible. This can be useful where planning permission makes extra lighting impractical or the security requirement is such that intruders should not be alerted to the existence of CCTV surveillance.OUTDOOR CAMERASIf a camera is to be sited outside and is not going to be mounted in an enclosure it must be classed as weather resistant. All of our outdoor cameras are fully weatherproof. The cable entry points are sealed and most cameras come with trailing leads that allows the connections to be made inside the building.DAY/NIGHT CAMERAS Very popular in domestic and small commercial CCTV applications, day/night cameras allow great quality, colour recording during daylight hours. When light levels drop below a certain level the camera's infra red LED's allow the camera to continue recording good quality footage even in complete darkness. The distance the cameras will see at night is dependent on the strength of the LED's. See our The golden rule when deciding which camera to use for a given lighting condition is not to choose one that will only just give a picture. Try to give the camera approximately 10 times its quoted minimum scene illumination. Most cameras will be able to cope with excess light. The major problem is when they do not have enough light to produce a picture.RESOLUTIONThis is the horizontal resolution in TV lines, i.e., the number of black to white transitions that can be resolved across the image. This is a function of the number of pixels that make up the CCD imaging area and the bandwidth of the camera circuitry. Typical entry level camera resolution is 330 TV lines, with high resolution cameras producing better than 400 lines. Higher resolution costs more!.How do I display the picture from more than one camera?.Most CCTV systems deploy several cameras so you need a method to view and record the images. There are various ways this can be achieved; use a video switcher, a quad processor or a multiplexer. Here are the simple benefits of each system.
SwitchersA CCTV switcher is a unit that changes between camera pictures one at a time, the output being viewed on a monitor or passed to the recording device. As switchers can use any VCR to record in true real-time, the pictures can be of a very high quality. The fact that they provide true real-time recording unlike a snapshot from a multiplexer means they provide a superior picture quality. This can sometimes outweigh the disadvantages that switchers can only record one picture at a time. Advantages - Simple, low cost, good quality real-time pictures.Disadvantage - Can only record one camera at a time.
Quad ProcessorsQuad processors enable 4 camera pictures to be displayed simultaneously. They are useful where it is necessary to monitor several areas at the same time. As with a switcher, what is seen on the monitor is the picture that is recorded on your VCR. Advantages - Simple to use - shows multiple displays which can be recorded.Disadvantage - Records only 1 camera at a time real time or 4 at a quarter of the resolution.
MultiplexersA multiplexer allows simultaneous recording of multiple full-sized camera pictures on to one VCR tape providing a more comprehensive record than with a switcher or a quad processor. Most have variable display options such as quad and picture in a picture allowing flexible surveillance of more than one camera at once. When to use a multiplexerGenerally use when a high degree of surveillance is required and it is necessary to record full resolution pictures from a number of cameras at the same time. Advantages - Records all camera pictures full size on one tape - gives better monitoring of areas simultaneously - enables large areas to be monitored without losing surveillance due to camera switching time.Disadvantages - Does not record in real time - Raises the overall cost of the system.

REMOVING NEGATIVE OR NEUTRAL FEEDBACK
Many of us sellers have similar problems where we receive negative feedback from buyers who simply do not have a clue. One of the biggest culprits is newbies who give neutral or negative feedback without even contacting the seller first. Sometimes we suffer from retaliations feedback where a buyer will give the seller feedback just because they disagree with the feedback they have received - this is not right !!!
I have discovered a new way of LEGALLY removing negative or neutral feedback. This will not work all the time but due to the numbers of skanks out there on ebay i'm sure 9 our of 10 times this is likely to work.
All you do is check the buyers contact details. If for any reason they are wrong legally ebay must remove all feedback dealings. Obviously writing to ebay normally just gives a standard useless response that is no help to anyone but if you fill out the correct complaint form then you will get the desired result. Here is the information straight from eBay:Feedback left by a member who provided eBay with false contact information and could not be contacted. In general, the transaction period is considered to be 90 days from the end of the listing or 30 days from the date the feedback was left, whichever was longer.
The link you need to use is -

Basically if you received feedback that you think is incorrect you can use this method and I hope it will help you.
Please give me a positive vote as I am sure this guide will help you.

CONS AND FRAUDS SECTION
hi welcome 99% of ebayers are honest and genuine and the others are out right scum so i have compiled a few tips to help catch these people out who think they are clever enough to out smart us honest folks or the police
here goes you pay by postal orders and the seller or buyer that recieves or in this case says they didnt recieve think they have got away with it so wrong
1,keep your stub this is the fundimental proof in your case to proof that this has been sent NOT ALWAYS NEEDED BUT MAKES THINGS QUICKER BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE TIMES DATES AND AMOUNTS WHICH CAN BE CROSS REFERENCED
i would advise sending recorded delivery any and all postal orders never cash if you can always cross postal orders this forces the seller to place the order in there bank account and this can be obviously be traced by the police and post office who have a special team dedicated to fraud and will prosecute any fraud
call 02072396655
security help desk at royal mail dot com ebay dont let you put email addressess in
remember any special delivery items sent is under camera 24/7 in the depot and it is signed and checked to confirm who handles and every step of its journey is logged
2, if you send a uncrossed postal order is that the end of that
NO!!!!so when a uncrossed postal order is cashed it is scanned by a cashier and time and date and server will be noted against this money order if you suspect that this has happened to you more than once (they know who they are ) you can get a claim for from any postoffice a "p59" i believe but ask for a postal order claim form and they have them there all the time
NOW HERE IS THE INTERESTING BIT WHEN YOUR POSTAL ORDER IS WHICH YOU HAVE SENT AND IS PRESENTED TO THE CASHIER SCANNED BY THE CASHIER THE TIME DATE AND CASHIER IS NOTED SEEM TO BE REPEATING MYSELF NOT SO HERE IS WHY BECAUSE EVERY POST OFFICE IS PROTECTED BY SECURITY CAMERA,S
GETS BETTER EVERY POST OFFICE HAS WHAT IS CALLED A D.V.R WHICH STANDS FOR A DIGITAL VERSATILE RECORDER A WHAT ?????
THIS CLEVER GADGET RECORDS ALL INFO FROM CAMERAS 24/7 365 DAYS A YEAR HERE IS THE CLEVER BIT YOUR LOCAL POLICE GET INVOLVED FOR A FRAUD CASE AND CHECKTHERE EBAY ACCOUNT AND CONTACTTHERE OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO AS IT TURNED OUT HAVE ALSO BEEN CONNED BY THE SELLER BUT KEPT THERE STUBS FOR POSTAL ORDERS ETC THE POLICE GO TO THE POST OFFICE AND WITH THE HELP OF THESE VERY CLEVER FOR MENTIONED DVR,S CAN GET THE TIME DATE AND MATCH IT UP WITH VIDEO FOOTAGE CROOK CAPTURED
4, the dvrs in the post office have 16 channels eg run 16 camera,s they also have pan and tilt etc meaning any footage recorded in digital quality can be zoomed into high lighting face etc documents used to obtain money from the postal order unless its a small amount and they might not ask but times dates and identifying suspect will result in arrest for fraud
LOOK UP THESE GADGETS IF YOU DON,T BELIEVE BUSINESS ONES ARE A LOT BETTER THAN COMMERCIALS ONES BUT THEY MORE THAN DO THE JOB
I HOPE THIS HELPS I OBVIOUSLY CANT GIVE AWAY ANYMORE TIPS AS TO ALERT THESE CON ARTISTS AND THIEFS BUT IF YOU NEED ANY HELP OR ADVICE ON TRACING FINDING PEOPLE OR ANY EXTRA INFO I CAN TRY AND HELP YOU ALWAYS REMEMBER WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN CONNED GET THERE DETAILS FROM EBAY EASILY DONE BY GOING ON ADVANCE SEARCH AND PUTTING IN THE EBAY ITEM NO AND THERE ID ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE PAID BY PAY PAL WHEN TALKING TO THE PERSON WHO HAS CONNED YOU RECORD CONVERSATIONS THIS IS EVIDENCE GET THEM TO CONFIRM THEY POSTED THE PACKAGE AND THEY HAVE ANY RECIEPTS TO THIS PACKAGE ALSO CRUCIAL EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE ALOT OF TIMES DATES AND DETAILS ON YOUR ENVOLOPE WHEN THEY TOOK IT IN TO THE POST OFFICE TRY TO ESTABLISH IF THE ENVOLOPE WAS SEALED OR CELLOTAPED ETC BY THEM AND HERE IS THE CLEVER BIT IF THE PARCEL IS REALLY LIGHT AND FEELS EMPTY DONT OPEN IT LEAVE IT SEALED SAY YOU BROUGHT A GOLD CHAIN WEIGHING 155GRAM
AND PARCEL ONLY WEIGHS 39 GRAM ITS SO OBVIOUS ITS MISSING SO LEAVE SEALED WITH THE GUILTY PARTIES FINGER PRINTS ALL OVER THE BOX AND TRUST ME THESE PEOPLE WILL BE CAUGHT AND LOCKED UP
if your not sure of the weight etc and you have signed unchecked for your parcel etc simple solution video record yourself undoing the parcel sent to you firstly making sure you have video all the package on every side to proof its fully sealed and untampered with making sure the date and time facility is on your video recorder and for double measure on the weighing scales and then you can safely proceed to undo your parcel on video
ALSO NOTE BE PATIENT WHEN PHONING POLICE BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH IT SEEMS LIKE NOTHING IS BEING DONE THEY ARE INVESTIGATING AND AMASSING EVDENCE AND WILL CONTACT THE PEOPLE WHO BEEN CONNING FRAUDING ETC THEY ARE ESPECIALY BUSY AT CHRISTMAS
IF THIS GUIDE HELPS ANYBODY I AM GLAD PLEASE VOTE IF SOMETHING IS NOT COVERED AS STATED SEND A MESSAGE I WILL TRY TO HELP BUT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN OMITTED FOR A REASON AS NOT TO TIP THE THIEFS AND CON MERCHANTS OFF

HOW TO SPOT FAKE GAME BOY GAMES. DONT BE FOOLED
ive been buying and sellingon ebay for almost 2 years, and have brougth a few gba games in the time, and most allhave been fake, you can tell a fake gba game by-
the box is glossy
the game cart feels odd compaired with a offical nintendo cart
if the seller is selling games like pokemon chaos black, try finding that one on the nintendo website!
if they wont offer you a refund if you brought the item and its 'not what you expected'
they offer your a replacment if the game wont save, but if it was a original nintendo game, there wouldnt be a problem, because it would save
9 times out of 10 the game will come from asia
but if you get fooled by there low prices, because the game is 29.99 in the shops, and on here is 8, these are the things to look for when getting the game in the post-
the box is flat packed
the cart sticker is very smooth
the cart feels tight when putting it in the gba
the game wont save
the screen shots on the back are fuzzy
i go by the saying now, if its too good to be true it normal is
to be on the safe side, i would email the seller first just to be sure
hopefully ebay will catch on to this sooner or later
hope you find this useful:)
Buying mobility equipment on Ebay. Things to consider
Before you buy any mobility items, there are some important points that you need to consider.
You should bear in mind that buying from Ebay is not the same as buying from a high street shop, if you encounter a problem it may not be as easy to resolve as it is to go back to the shop, so you need to be sure that you get it right before you buy.
There are however many bargains to be had, but a bargain is not a very good one if you are left with something that turns out to be no use to you, or you cannot get it repaired if it breaks.
VAT RELIEF
Some sellers pricemobility items at VAT relief prices, which is all well and good if you are entitled to this relief, but not everyone is, if you are not able to sign a VAT relief certificate, you will be charged 17.5%VAT on the final total of your purchase. If in any doubt you should check your entitlement with your local VAT office before you work out the price that you will need to pay for the item.
Once you know how much you will need to pay you should then ask the seller the following questions.
Can I return the item if it is not suitable, if so what postage costs will I need to pay
Does the item carry any guarantee.
Do you offer any after sales service in the event of a breakdown after the guarantee has expired
Is there a telephone helpline so I don't need to be waiting for emails to go back and forth.
Try before you buy
If you see something that you like on Ebay, and you are satisfied with all the points listed above, why not visit your local mobility showroom and try out a similar model, then if you like it, and the price is right, buy it from Ebay.
I hope this guide will help you to get the best deal for you.
Good Bidding.

Mineral Foundation 4 Key Steps for the Perfect Colour
How to Fit a Bicycle Helmet
Your objective: Snug, Level, Stable
You want the helmet to be comfortably touching the head all the way around, level and stable enough to resist even violent shakes or hard blows and stay in place. It should be as low on the head as possible to maximize side coverage, and held level on the head with the strap comfortably snug.
Be Prepared for the Worst
Heads come in many sizes and shapes. You should be prepared for the possibility that the helmet you are trying to fit may not be compatible with this particular head. And unfortunately, you should expect to spend ten to fifteen minutes to get your helmet properly fitted.
1. Adjust the fit pads or ring
Helmets that fit with pads come with at least one set of foam fitting pads, and if you got a second set of thicker pads it can be used to customize the shape. For starters, you can often remove the top pad entirely or use the thinnest ones. This lowers the helmet on the head, bringing its protection down further on the sides. It may reduce the flow of cooling air slightly, but probably not enough to notice.
Adjust the side fit pads by using thicker pads if your head is narrow and there is a space, or add thicker pads in the back for shorter heads. You may also move pads around, particularly on the "corners" in the front and rear. Leaving some gaps will improve air flow. The pads should touch your head evenly all the way around, without making the fit too tight. The pads may compress slightly over time, but not much, so do not count on that to loosen the fit. The helmet should sit level on the head, with the front just above the eyebrows, or if the rider uses glasses, just above the frame of the glasses. If you walk into a wall, the helmet should hit before your nose does!
There are also helmets on the market that use a fitting ring rather than side pads for adjustment. With these one-size-fits-all models you begin by adjusting the size of the ring. Some of them may require the ring so tight for real stability on your head that they feel binding, but loosening the ring can produce a sloppy fit, indicating that the helmet is not for you.
2. Adjust the straps
Now put the helmet on and fasten the buckle. Be sure the front is in front! You want to adjust it to the "Eye-Ear-Mouth" test developed by the Bicycle Coalition of Maine:
When you look upward the front rim should be barely visible to your eye
The Y of the side straps should meet just below your ear
The chin strap should be snug against the chin so that when you open your mouth very wide you feel the helmet pull down a little bit.
With the helmet in position on your head, adjust the length of the rear straps, then the length of the front straps, to locate the Y fitting where the straps come together just under your ear. That may involve sliding the straps across the top of the helmet to get the length even on both sides. Then adjust the length of the chin strap so it is comfortably snug. If it cuts into the chin and is not comfortable, it is too tight. Now pay attention to the rear stabilizer if the helmet has one. It can keep the helmet from jiggling in normal use and make it feel more stable, but only a well-adjusted strap can keep it on in a crash.
When you think the straps are about right, shake your head around violently. Then put your palm under the front edge and push up and back. Can you move the helmet more than an inch or so from level, exposing your bare forehead? Then you need to tighten the strap in front of your ear, and perhaps loosen the rear strap behind your ear. Again, the two straps should meet just below your ear. Now reach back and grab the back edge. Pull up. Can you move the helmet more than an inch? If so, tighten the rear strap.
For a final check, look in a mirror or look at the wearer whose helmet you are fitting. Move the helmet side to side and front to back, watching the skin around the eyebrows. It should move slightly with the helmet. If it does not, the fit pads are probably too thin in front or back.
When you are done, your helmet should be level, feel solid on your head and be comfortable. It should not bump on your glasses (if it does, tighten the nape strap). It should pass the eye-ear-mouth test. You should forget you are wearing it most of the time, just like a seat belt or a good pair of shoes. If it still does not fit that way, keep working with the straps and pads, or try another helmet.
Note: with a helmet that fits this well on a child, you must be sure the child removes the helmet before climbing trees and playing on playground equipment. Otherwise there is a risk of catching the helmet and being strangled! That doesn't happen in normal bike riding, even in crashes, but it can happen while climbing trees or monkey bars.
Finally, you want the straps to stay adjusted. Some helmets--even expensive ones--do not have locking pieces on the side where the straps come together under your ear. If you can move the side buckle with your hand, it will migrate in use. We call that "strap creep," and it is a major problem. If your helmet has non-locking side pieces, that means you have to either put on a rubber band and snug it up under the side buckle, or you will need to sew the straps when you have the fit just right. If you use heavy thread you only need five or six stiches to hold it. It's an extra chore, but worth it.
You're Done!

Guide to Using Homeopathy with Horses
Guide to Homeopathy for Horses
This is a guide to using homeopathic remedies with horses. I stock a wide range of remedies in my shop, as well as many other natural supplements. This is a simple straight-forward guide, the purpose being to help your horse, not to 'blow your mind' with this fascinating subject. I aim to encourage you to try for yourself and discover remedies which are extremely efficient, inexpensive and rewarding in aiding equine first aid.
Using Homeopathy on Your Horse
Homeopathy is a means of treating 'like with like'. In very simplistic terms, think of it like giving a flu vaccine. You are actually giving your animal a small amount of the flu virus to allow the immune system to build up resistance to the disease.
With homeopathy, unless being used in prevention to a calculated or known risk, you are using it in response to a specific problem - perfect for the busy horse owner! Unless you are the paranoid sort, when the problem goes away you can forget to use the remedy any more!
There seems to be only one disadvantage to using homeopathy, this being that it is not general in its action, but very specific. Therefore, to have any effect, you do have to make the correct choice of remedy. That said, you can use up to six remedies at any one time to 'cover all angles'.
Application
Using the wrong remedy at the strengths specified should not cause any contra-indications for your horse, the worst that can happen is nothing. Generally, if it is the right remedy, you will see results fairly quickly, depending of course, what you are using it for. Homeopathy can be used alongside veterinary medications, supplements etc, safely and effectively for all. Try not to let your horse drink coffee, smoke, clean his teeth, or even eat mints (not that he'd do that!), 15 minutes either side of applications. These can interfere with the remedy.
Try to deliver the tablet inot the bottom lip, this will melt through the mucous membrane and go fast inot the system. Care must be taken not to handle the tablet too much as it is only coated in the substance required.
How Often? How Many?
Use some common/horse sense for each individual account. It is the frequency that you apply that matters, not the amount of tablets you use at any one time (thus less expensive!). Try to remember that higher strengths are most useful for acute situations and lower are for longer term problems.
We do not recommend using 6c strength unless you are prepared to wait outside your horse's stable all day long, giving him tablets a minimum of 6 times a day! We also recommend offering 2 tablets each time in case one gets lost/dropped - they can be fiddly to handle! Sometimes it is necessary to offer them in a small titbit if you are 'all fingers and thumbs' at putting it into his bottom lip.
Which Remedy?
Firstly, learn to appreciate the benfits of ARNICA; if not for yourself, but at least for your horse - although feeling its benefits on yourself is the best way to appreciate its abilities.
ARNICA- the first remedy following any accident. Arnica can be incredible in its actions following a trauma, like a fall. It deals with the shock, bruising and damage of soft tissue and blood vessels - speeding up the natural healing process considerably. Arnica like most remedies can be used preventively prior to risk situations, or prior to known results, such as a racehorse who may be known as a bleeder. It is then advisable to apply arnica prior to a race or fast work, for its action on the blood vessels. Arnica is quite often the intial remedy for an accident, resulting in longer term recovery and can be followed up with other remedies for muscle, ligament, wound damage etc.
Suggested Application: Try Arnica 200c, up to three times in the first hour, then twice daily for 5 days. Use 30c up to 6 times daily for three days for a minor knock or similar. Start as early as possible after the incident. Arnica has usually done its job in the first weeks, and has little benefit after this time.
ACONITE- Anticipation of Stressful Situations
Show nerves? Travelling fears? Panic at the thought of the farrier/vet? Aconite is the principle choice for the above, allowing the horse to 'chill out' and accept the job in hand without causing drowsiness.
Suggested Application - Try 2 tabs, 200c, just before loading or tacking up at a show. usually, this is all that is required, unless a seperate incident arises late that day.
CALADIUM- Midge Repellent
Good for most, but not all, sweet-itch sufferers, and those horses that get really bothered by midge type flies - well worth a try, with an open mind!
Suggested Application - Try 30c, 2 tabs 1-3 times daily at affected time (can be used alongside Sweet-itch Aid and Echinacea remedies).
CALC FLUOR- For scar tissue damage
Use routinely after a splint appears, or for those with laminitis or ringbone. In fact, for any problem involving soft tissue damage, e.g. bony lumps etc.
Suggested Application - Try using 2 tabs in 30c, approximately two weeks after intial injury, daily for 2 weeks, then twice a week thereafter for around 3 months, or until improvement is complete.
ECHINACEA- The multi-use remedy
This is the immune system stimulent and should be used where all allergic reaction are obvious, alongside the specific remedy for that allergy for the first month. This remedy will at least allow the horse to fight his own problem 'on top form'.
Suggested Application - Try 30x up to three times daily for approximately one month.
GELSEMIUM- For the shy and timid
This really suits those that go weak at the knees! A relaxant for horses that are by the way of their nature, very nervous, tending to tremble, get muscle weakness prior to events/activities.
Suggested Application - Try 2 tablets, 200c immediately beforehand
KALI-PHOS- To aid convalescence
This remedy is ideal to help the convalescing horse to keep calm during this period, if he is prone to getting stressed.
Suggested Application - try 30c once daily during this time
MIXED POLLENS- Pollen allergy
'Stolen' from hay fever sufferers, this has proven to be very beneficial to some head-shakers that turn out to be sensitive to pollens. This is a combination remedy of several UK pollens.
Suggested Application - Try with ECHINACEA initially, then continue in 30c once or twice daily until season ends.
RECOVERY REMEDY
Homeopathically produced liquid combinations remedy. A combination of flowers in a brandy base, used with great effect in many cases, but not all!!! To generally calm, following shock, during colic or if the horse is distressed whilst waiting for the vet. In Australia, vets use it routinely for animals coming around from general anaesthetics.
Suggested Application - Try a few drops directly into the lower lip, prior to, or immediately following a fearful situation.
RHUS TOX
Done a little too much with not enough fitness? Bruised muscles? Coming out a little stiff, but loosening up with exercise? - use this remedy.
Suggested Application - For over-exertion, try 2 tablets up to three times daily in 200c, until a marked improvement is seen. For general stiffness problems, try 2 tablets once or twice daily, depending on the level of the problem and/or time of year.
RUTA GRAV
A classic follow up for Arnica when a strain becomes apparent, a must for horses that are in more serious levels of work, but useful for all types of strain injuries. Good prior to and following physio etc, and can be used with great success for long term strain injuries to help the natural healing process.
Suggested Application - 2 tablets, once or twice daily 200c strength for up to 3 months.
SCULTELLARIA
This is the homeopathic nervous sedative, does not cause drowsiness, has no adverse effect on performance.
Suggested Application - Try 2 tablets, immediately prior to excitable situation.
SILICEA
Think of this as a poultice in tablet form! Quite often it has a difficult job to do, and will need to be applied once to three times daily, 2 tablets in 30c strength for possible several weeks, be patient, its very impressive eventually! This remedy is also particularly good at strengthening horn.
Suggested Application - (all 30c) For foreign bodies, twice daily for a few weeks. For healing tissue, use twice weekly for 6 weeks. For horn growth use once daily as required.

Tip for installing a LCD / Plasma TV wall bracket
Installing a 10inch to 37inch LCD/Plasma TV wall mounting bracket. This will make sure that you have a perfectly aligned LCD/Plasma TV wall bracket. Fitting TVs on walls especially in corners can be a tricky business. Even though you use a level, when the jobs complete, they can look as if they have not been mounted straight. This is whats known as an Optical illusion. The following paragraph explains on how to overcome this.
A handy tip is to fit the bracket to the wall in the chosen place using only one fixing bolt initially in the top of the bracket (1). Tighten this up so that the bracket can only just be rotated. Once this has been completed fit the back plate to the back of the TV screen. Now attach this back plate to the wall bracket. With this held in position, make slight adjustments to the wall mounted part of the bracket using a level. Finish off the alignment by eye; this means go to the position from where it will be mostly viewed and adjusts it until acceptable.Mark up the remaining holes to be drilled (2), remove the monitor back plate from the wall bracket. Take off the wall bracket and drill the remaining holes. Fix all the parts previously removed into position and include the additional bolts. Job Complete.

Thinking of buying an electric bicycle?
I purchased an electric bike from an ebay seller 123 scooter and I have had nothing but trouble with the thing and 123 scooter. The initial purchase took place on 23 Sep 07; I rode the bike six times in a month and it packed up on me, leaving me stranded on top of a local mountain.
My first contact with 123 scooter was not promising as they said it was theyre supplier I had to deal with and not them; when I insisted that the contract of buyer and seller was to do with me and "them" they pulled theyre horns in slightly...They went on to say that I had to pay the return costs of the bike and I had no other option in the matter; You guessed it when I dug my heels in they said they would pay the return carriage (they wanted 60). I contacted my credit card company who said I should take a repair; so when I accepted a repair on the 7th of Nov they got back to me and said they would arrange collection. I had heard nowt since...
I must mention the fact that between me refusing to pay 60 for a faulty bike that they sold me and getting in touch with my card company I told them (123 scooter) that the goods were not fit for purpose under the Sale of Goods Act; the reply which I received was they were fit for purpose as I had owned the bike for at least 14 days...mmm!
The electric bike in question is the Synergie Futuro; I paid 349 for it carriage free with my card. When the bike arrived it was in good condition but the (so called) user manual is hopeless. The Futuro model is not even shown. The mudguard bracket (front) had to be bent from 45 degrees to 90 as the guard would not fit on to the bike. The seat continually goes out of adjustment; you tighten it up and it just comes loose no matter how tight you do it. There is a basket carrier on the front and the bracket which holds everything in place is so badly thought out that I did notice the top of the front suspension getting marked ; this was due to the bracket repeatedly slamming down on this bike as the free range of travel is not enough and consequently had to take the bracket off, which did not help really as it was the weld point that were causing the damage and not directly the bracket. There is a little white box on the downtube under the saddle and the top of the plastic box fell off; it was not glued to good when I received the bike. When the bike did pack up on me on top of the mountain it made a terrible grinding noise and the rear hub just packed up.
I did join a electric bike user forum on Yahoo and someone did mention identical problems that they had had with a synergie bike (ie seat and everything going out of adjustment) and eventually it made a terrible grinding noise and finally packed up; the person did mention using a credit card if you were thinking of buying a bike off synergie as it would make it easier to recoup you money.
To this day I have got the bike stuck out the shed waiting to see how things pan out in my attempts to get my cash back; I am aware that 349 is cheap for an electric bike but is expensive when it just sits outside the house doing nothing.
Be very cautious when buying chinese make electric bike as I have had no joy; as others have had no joy but I have heard that some others have been lucky.
I think the reason for me not hearing anything off 123 scooter is they are dragging things out to make it more difficult for me to get my cash back. I have just contacted Paypal with a desire to raise a dispute about the purchase but as its gone 45 days it may be harder for me to get Paypal to take on my cause...never mind I have got back to my card company and they told me after my initial enquirey that they could keep looking into the matter until mid Jan 08; so there is hope for me yet to get my cash back.
The few times that the bike worked it was great but it did not last for long and I don't really want a repair now as 123 scooter customer support is so bad that I hate to think the job I would have getting any co-operation a few months down the line. BUYER BEWARE.
I hope this has been of help to someone out there thinking of getting a electric bike.
Buyer Beware Buying a Massage Couch
I have been a massage therapist for 27 years and am also a Trainer. When looking for a massage couch on e-bay.
Check the returns policy of the company. I ordered a couch from Primeahead. It arrived damaged. The vinyl was riped and the zip broken. It looked like something heavy had been droped on it in transit. They would only offer a partial refund unless I paid the postage to send the couch back.
Ring the company direct. It has been reported that anothr massage couch company has a false number on their contact details and is not contactable by phone. That they also are not replaceing goods damaged in transit.
Has the couch got a guarantee? Does it meet safety requirements? If it does not and an accident happens to a client because of a faulty couch how will that effect your insurance?
Mobile Therapists get real! If you are doing mobile work and want a long career get a really lite couch under 14Kg.
Check the quality of the Vinyl. If you are mobile you stand a good chance of scarping the couch at some point so make sure the Vinyl is not going to rip easily.
Go for good quality foam. If its poor quality it will be uncomfortable for your clients. Thickness in itself is not aquality guide.

ADIDAS A15 LEATHER JACKET - HOW TO SPOT A FAKE!
Welcome to another
Balooka Heights
"Fake or Not Guide"
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
There are countless fake Adidas A15 Leather Jacket on eBay at the moment and as theitem grows in popularity the fakes grow in numbers.
I've got tired of reporting them to eBay so I though that it's time to put pen to paper and cut out the middle man, by informing the buyers of what to look out for.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Firstly, here is the item in question:
This is a real favorite for the fake sellers, as it's cheap to make and buy and has a huge RRP.
This means that they will want to buy as many possible, soapproach withcausionif you see a seller with loads of these.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Here is the main way to tell that it's a fake - The Trefoil Logo
1. You will see that the top section of the logo (begining of the leaf) is joined up.
2. The bottom of the logo is completely different to the official Adidas Originals logo.
3. They've even made the stupid mistake of having adifferent Trefoil logo on the frontcompared to theback.
These areall signs that the item is a cheap fake!
The Trefoil logo on all genuine Adidas Originals items will have all of thesections seperate, see here:
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Here is the other way to tell the item is a fake - The Tag Info
The information on the label on the string is D.T TT1 740673.
The label inside the jacket describes it has a white cotton/polyester track top and product info relates to the product on the string label. The D.T relates to the British Decathlon star Daley Thompson and I have found a picture of the top:

How to spot a fake Nintendo Ds Game
left). One subtle difference is the cut off on the bottom left hand
corner of the sticker on the fake is slightly more rounded then it
should be. also the Nintendo seal of Quality isn't got the slight metallic sheen on the fake game. Usually the official Game's Nintendo Seal of Quality Has a metallic sheen to it is especially noticeable on the games boxes. The differences become more obvious when you turn the cart over.
also on a real one you should have a real long sets of numbers under
the (NTR-005 Pat Pend) then on The PCB is a complex manufacturer code
for example from my game Puzzle league DA 0-2 003-10 may differ on
other Ds gamesHear we have picture of two Nintendo Ds games Back view. the counterfeit one is on your left metallic pins on the fake are black on this one. the genuine Nintendo one is on your right. but fakes can be real good, you need eyes for detail.Fakes can be very hard to spot, if you suspect that the game you have purchased from a seller is a fake, ask for a refund if they refuse Report It don't suffer in silence.I wanted to share my Views on this, because i have been sold to many counterfeit games now, and i have had enough of it. I have borrowed some info and some pictures, most of this review is my own work and photos zelda game, pokemon game
BEWARE OF SHILL BIDDING BY A FALSE ID. IT IS FRAUD
Most eBay auctions are honest and fairly conducted but some sellers adopt the technique of bidding up the price by placing shill bids using a false identity. It is important to bear in mind that the seller may bid against you so that he, the seller, gets a higher price.
Warning signs. You are just outbid in a contested auction dominated by one other bidder and quickly receive a Second Chance Offer from the seller. These offers are used by sellers if the original winning bidder fails to complete the sale.Be very suspicious if the offer arrives sooner than normal seller/buyer negotiations would take. However, one must bear in mind that the seller made just one bid too many and won his own auction! His only escape is to sell to the underbidder - YOU. Without this bidding tactic you would now be paying much less - you have been defrauded. You may chose to pay because you are getting an item you want at a price you were prepared to pay, albeit your absolute maximum. Alternatively, you can refuse the offer and leave the seller with listing fees, sales fees and NO sale. Serves him right, I hear you all chorus!
But what we all need are early warning signs during the auction that we arebeing bid up. Be wary of the bidder who bids against you in minimum increments made at different times. What he is looking for is a sequence such as:
You: 10.00 Fraudster: 11.00 You: 12.00 Fraudster:13.00 You: 13.11 This last bid of less than the minimum increment is obviously your top limit and it allows the bidder up to cease bidding and leaving you as the winner, or anyone else who cares to bid, and he is 3.11 better off! Consider whether you should change your bidding style. The fractional increment bidmay best used at the very end of an auction where there are only seconds left to go. If you leave a fractional increment bid as an early bid, you are advertising to the world that one more bid will beat you!
eBayers often have more than one identity, but 2nd and 3rd identities usually have low feedback scores because their existence is notto win auctions but to push up the price. For "Reasons of Security" eBay have made it much more difficult to check these identities. No longer is the bidder's identity and feedback accessible via the List of Bidders. Anonymity is assured as identity is obscured behind the vagueness of BIDDER 1 or BIDDER 4. The only warning is the absence of a coloured star. 10 positive feedbacks are required to gain the minimum yellow star. You won't be able to access the bidder's buying history by clicking on the bidder in the list of bidders. However, youcan access information on the winning bidder alone by clicking the winning bidder on the listing screen. Pay particular attention to the percentage of bids with this seller. If this figure exceeds 20% then one really has to suspect that there is some form of collusion between Bidder and Seller. If the shill bidder is making bids to bid up the auction but never achieves winning bidder status, the tell-tale information is not disclosed to you.
Suggested Defence against the Fraudulent Bidder: If you have the time, bid early, and make your 1st bid a minimum bid and await developments. If the auction appears to develop along normal lines then re-enter the auction with confidence. However, if the next bid is from a low feedback bidder, then it may be a shill bid from the seller who is now surprised to be winning his own auction having advanced the bidding by the minimum. His winning bidder status also gives you the chance to examine his bidding pattern. However, most importantly, you have established in his mind that your next bid may again be a minimum, and he shills you at his own risk. If your next bid is at your intended proxy level you stand less chance of being bid up. Never bid the minimum, have a rethink, then rebid raising your maximum bid. The bid count will now be 2 with only 1 bidder. You are advertising to all that you can be shilled at least once!
The following auction is fairly typical and would raise no suspicions unlessyou receive a 2nd Chance Offer two days later offering you the goods for 39.00. Has the shill bid you up from 34.00? If you feel that you have been shilled, turn down the offer. Alternatively, you could e-mail the seller offering the 34.00 that the auction had reached before the activities of BIDDER 3 bid up the auction.
BIDDER 3 (shill?) 40.00
BIDDER 1(you)39.00
BIDDER 3 (shill?) 38.00
BIDDER 3 (shill?) 37.00
BIDDER 3 (shill?) 36.00
BIDDER3 (shill?) 35.00
BIDDER1(you)34.00
BIDDER 2 27.00
BIDDER 1 (you) 20.00
It is much to be regreted that eBay have introduced the anonymity of showing only Bidder Numbers because it was previously much easier to spot a shill by following his previous bidding history. Unfortunately it is in eBay's interest for the shill bidder to prosper because the result is higher selling prices and therefore higher fee income.eBay's defence is that it prevents underbidders from being contacted outwith the normal bidding channels but that, of course, is a further loss of revenue to eBay.I am not suggesting that eBay is in any way condoning shill bidding but in this respect they are putting their interests before bidders.
BUYING OR SELLING A NINTENDO Wii CONSOLE- BEWARE
ARE YOU BUYING OR SELLING A NINTENDO Wii CONSOLE OR GAMES ?
IS THESALE VALUEWORTH MORE THAN 36 ?
IF YOUR ANSWER IS YES TO BOTH THE ABOVE -PLEASE READ ON BEFORE YOU BUY OR LIST
GENERAL
For the majority of AUCTIONS, if the item is more than 36 in value and the SELLER has not included INSURANCE in the listing, there is a high chance you willNOT be compensated if the item gets lost or is damaged in transit
ROYAL MAIL compensation schemes will only cover for the value of the ITEM andNOT the postage paid.
Some SELLERS are only covered for up to 150 if an item is lost ordamaged by PAYPAL PROTECTION POLICIES
ROYAL MAIL and PARCELFORCE are separate companies and have different polices about compensation.
This guide relates ONLYtoROYAL MAIL SERVICES, for both BUYERS AND SELLERS
It may not apply to High Volume Sellers who are likely to have their own insurance and compensation schemes
This is an advisory guide and applies to ANY ITEM you are buying or selling on ebay.
BUYINGITEMS WORTH MORE THAN 36 - CHECKLIST
Is the combined total of the ITEM(S) worth more than 36?
Is the Seller using a ROYAL MAIL SERVICE for shipping?
Does thePOSTAGE
Unfair Negative Feedback which E-Bay will not prevent.
When I sell an item, at the first opportunity I send the Buyer an Invoice and an e-mail thanking them for their custom together with a time the item will be posted, when its actually in the post I advise the buyer of this and leave positive feedback,(and ask for return feedback when they have received the goods and are satisfied)for as a buyer once you have paid you have conducted yourself in a business like manner, so why not leave the feedback then.
I have sold over 900 items on e-bay and received 3 Negative feedbacks, one relating to postage charges which are clearly quoted on the listing and two from people whom I refused to deal with
a Spanish buyer purchased two items then e-mailed me demanding I post both together and reduce the p+p by 50%, I told him this was not possible (as it actually put it into a weight catagory which would have doubled the cost of sending the items seperately), he continued his threatened blackmail of negative feedback so I told him where to go and refused to sell him the items - YET e-bay allowed him to send me Negative feedback.
a uk buyer bought a Winder (value 15-30) for 5.00 plus quoted p + p 5.00, then demanded to know why my p + p charges were more than the postage on the package, tried to explain that the goods don`t parcel themselves, don`t deliver themselves to the PO, don`t have to queue at the PO with time spent etc, my p + p charges are reasonable, on some I actually get more that my outlay, on others I am actually out of pocket, either way my p + p Costs are clearly stated on the Listing, if you don`t like them then don`t bid its a simple as that.
THE BEST YET - is one of those idiots who bids then not only doesn`t pay but refuses to acknowledge an e-mails sent them, after 10 days of sending invoices and e-mails receiving no response I reported him to E-Bay, opening a Dispute File, I then contacted then next highest bidder told him the story and the goods were sold and paid for with 30 minutes, I also left the idiot negative feedback to go along with the other eight examples of him doing similar, ie bidding then not paying, he responds to E-Bay stating he had sent me a cheque, but where did he get my address from? and I hadn`t sent him the goods = a load of total rowlocks. He then is allowed to leave me negative Feedback lying stating he had sent Postal Orders and never received the goods, E-Bay have the proof that this person is a liar and habitual bidder/non-payer YET they will do nothing about it unless I sign a Declaration witnessed by a Solicitor (goods were 13), as I have not the time or money to waste doing this I think E-Bay are failing the honest E-Bayers by not preventing such unwarranted negative feedback.
I NOW HAVE ANOTHER SITUATION OF A NON-PAYING BIDDER, if I do not leave him Negative Feedback I am doing the rest of the honest E-Bayers a dis-service, if I leave him Negative Feedback there is nothing to prevent him retalliating with similar Negative Feedback and nothing to stop him lying when doing so.
E-BAY ARE FAILING THE HONEST E-BAYERS BY NOT CONTROLLING PROVEN LYING FEEDBACK.
I have no negatives regarding any of the items I have sold, I have had a couple of buyers who were not satisfied but they were refunded in full incl p+p and the goods sold on to others who were satisfied.
Those of you on the receiving end of bidders who don`t complete the sale should do as I did and complain to E-Bay, my protests did not result in the false feedback being removed but if enough of us pester them, they might do something about it in the future.
GIANT AFRICAN LAND SNAIL CARE GUIDE / SHEET
Easy to care for and interesting to watch, Giant African land-snails are ideal low-maintenance pets. They grow quickly and can reach more than 20cm shell length. Enjoy them. The following is taken from personal experience and is given free. Please consult books available written by snail experts if in doubt.
To purchase products related to snails. Please click here.
Container for giant african land: You will need a container with a lid that has small air-holes. While the giant african land snails are small, this needs only be roughly 15cm wide by 20cm long and 15cm high or big enough for them to move around comfortably in.
Bedding for giant african land snails: The giant african land snails like to burrow in about 2 or 5cm of substate. Garden soil should not be used far it may contain chemicals. Smooth stones or bark chippings can be used, but we found that our snails didnt like these so much and spent a lot of time on the container sides or lid. Obviously, snails would not like anything sharp or prickly.
Cleaning outyour giant african land snails: If you remove old foodstuffs before it goes off, you need only clean out the container every two to three weeks. Obviously, the more giant african land snails you have, the more waste they produce. Baths (held running under a cool / lukewarm tap or in shallow water - no soap) makes shells shiny and clean and they come out of their shells so we can only assume they like it!
Habit and handlingyourgiant african land snails: Giant African land-snails are nocturnal by habit and move around less during much of the day, becoming active in the early evening. They can be woken with a bath and dont seem to mind. The very outer edge of the shell lip is thin and delicate because its where they add new shell to make themselves larger. When handling, avoid touching this part. The giant african land snail will repair small breaks on the edge of the shell, but it makes that part more fragile, and leaves a mark.
Food for yourgiant african land snails: Giant African Land Snailsshould be fed Lettuce leaves and sliced cucumber, but the snails will have a nibble at many vegetables and fruit, e.g. apple, melon, strawberry, cabbage, carrot. All foods need to be dusted withcalcium for thier shells to form proper. I currently sell two forms of calcium, the first is'Calcium Additive'which is sprinkled on the food and provides them with essential calcium, the second is 'Calcium Addtive Plus'this has all the benefits of the standard calcium additive, but has the added benefit that it will detere worms from your snails, and also flies from the enclosure. I also sell a'Complete Snail Food'this contains everything your giant african land snails need, so will not require any additives. My'Snail Food'is a complete food, but it is still benificail to your snails to provide them with fresh greens and other vegetables.
Moisture / Drink for yourgiant african land snails: The giant african land snails need their bedding to be damp / moist but not wet. We found a light spray with a plant mister each / every other evening worked well. They do like a little beer but make sure they dont get too tipsy and drown. A shallow tray with water in is enjoyed, but not a necessity, they drink the moisture off the tank sides when sprayed.
Temperature for yourgiant african land snails: Inside a centrally heated house is fine; giant african land snails like to be between 17-24 degrees on average. Direct sunlight (eg windowsill) is not good; they may overheat and die.
Breeding yourgiant african land snails: Giant african land snails are hermaphrodites (male and female at the same time) and if adults are in ideal conditions and breed, they can lay 200 eggs each. They can burrow under thesubstarte to lay. From one mating, several clutches of eggs can result because the giant african land snails keep a love dart of spermatazoa under the skin behind the head. If you dont want to end up with babies, just freeze the eggs in a plastic bag for a couple of hours and dispose of them. Left, they will hatch in 14-21 days. If keeping them, its best to put the eggs in a separate container from the adults to make it easier to clean out the big ones and avoid the babies being disturbed or squashed when they hatch.
I hope you found this guide helpfull. If you did please leave a comment.
Take a look at my Giant African Land Snail Products.
Thank you.
How to spot a fake Reebok NFL jersey
Unless you buy from NFLshop.com or the teams proshop,we think of good old eBay and hey everyone likes a bargain don't they?, you are going to come into contact with the bootleg jersey. Some are obvious and others are so good that even Reebok admit that they can't tell the difference. eBay is a wonderful place for a bargain and so it attracts counterfeiters.
That being said I believe that most of the UK based sellers are not sure of what they are selling. Reebok does not import the Authentic jerseys and so we don't see them in the stores and therefore have no idea what to look for and up until a few months ago I was one of those unknowing fans. In a few short months I have undergone a master-class of jersey collecting and spotting from our American cousins.
I have been caught out by people I trusted and have fake jerseys in my wardrobe which I bought as genuine. I don't want to debate the rights and wrongs of counterfeiting products. We all know it's against the law.
So, firstly then.
Price
Most Authentic jerseys in retail stores cost $200 to $250 on average. That's 100 to 125 in our money. So can you sell a genuine jersey for 19.50, like some sellers on eBay. Yes if you are clinically insane or so rich that you do it for the love of the sport. The real reason..... fake jersey made somewhere in the far east and bought for 10. Remember if it looks too good then it's got to be just that.
Photo's
How many close up pictures are there in the listing. An honest seller, even if he/she is not aware that the jersey is a fake, will supply as many pictures of the jersey as the customer wants, hey they are after your money, no? Beware of sellers who only have one far away shot of the jersey and won't email you any more.
Numbers
An authentic range jersey will have one to three layers of tackle twill numbers zig zag stitched onto it. Never one layer tackle twill and then embroidered with the other colours
.
These should be almost stiff and almost cardboard like and flat. There could be some bubbling to single numbers, like the Giants or Steelers but mostly it should be flat.
Construction
A few of the worst fakes are the replica bodies with numbers sewn on, these are easy to spot as the back is longer than the front, known in the trade as the droptail. These also have dazzle material side panelsOthers have inferior quality materials and stitching, which is why the seller won't send you a close up picture. Now Reebok also use factories in the far east and South America and their stitching can also leave a bit to be desired. I know for example that the Bears jerseys nearly always have the wrong font on the shoulders. That's Reebok for you.Authentic jerseys have spandex sidepanels, just like the game jerseys made by Ripon in Berlin, USA ( the Reebok logo is stitched on afterwards on a gamer by Ripon). Fakers know this and put it in so it's only a guide.
PatchesMany fake Reebok jerseys on eBay have patches attached, etc anniversary or captains patches. These patches are not put onto genuine jerseys by Reebok. Some are available to buy on their own and added to the jersey. Mitchel and Ness jerseys do come with patches. The rule of thumb here is be very wary of patched jerseys, unless the seller is trusted or states that the patch has been added after purchase.Country of origin, tags
Most genuine jerseys are made in El Salvador or Korea, some have been made in China also. Fakers are putting on tags with the correct country of origin so you can't rely on this.
Tag Hologram
The hologram on the tag can also give it away as a fake. There are a couple of holograms out there.
1st - the helmet hologram - helmets surrounding the NFL shield. Genuine holograms show different coloured helmets. Fake same colour.
2nd - footballs hologram - There are 2 kinds in 2006 it went to LEATHER color footballs. Then in 2007 the footballs are different colors and it has the AFC and NFC logos in the background. Some sellers like to show the hologram on the fakes. If you see one with a helmet perimeter on a 06-07 jersey...you know it's a wrong un.

Handy Hints On Rearing Chicks, Unfinished
This will be a short and I hope helpful guide to rasiing chicks aimed at the novice poultry keeper. At some point every chicken lover will probably want to have a go at hatching and producing their own birds, whether for pure enjoyment or to raise a few pennies.
What comes first? Well, the eggI suppose.I will cover rearing under a broody first, as care needs to start even before hatching to ensure good results.
Eggs should be fresh, store in a cool area and gently turn each day. Soiling can be removed by gentle scraping, but eggs for broodies should not be washed, washing removes the protective outing coating on the egg, allowing infection to pass through the porous shell. Bantams can sit on quite large eggs, but a large girl like an Orpington should sit on large eggs, as unfortunately they can squash very small chicks. The usual number of eggs is traditionally odd, as they tend to fit in the nest area better, ensure the hen can cover eggs comfortably, too many eggs will result in chilling and a poor hatch, eggs should also be of a similar size.
Choose the sitting area carefully. The hen should be housed in a secure area, out of reach of dogs and foxes, and direct sunlight. Treat the hen and nest area with a suitable lice treatment and give her some nesting materials. I sometimes use a cut turf ,it provides moisture and padding and is easily disposed of afterwards, otherwise a bed of woodshavings, straw or your preferred bedding can be constructed. Offer the hen some dummy eggs, and leave her to settle, I usually make sure they are sitting tight before offering the real eggs. How to know they are really broody? If you try to touch the eggs she will usually squawk loudly at you, and may attempt to peck, gloves may be useful with some hens!
Where you sit her is important. She will need to stretch her legs, have a pooh and take food and water at least once a day. If she is in an open house she can decide when to do this, but it is wise to check her, as sometimes they are so broody they will not get off the eggs. Broodiespass enormous, very smelly poohs, indeed these are often an indication of broodiness, so by checking if she has poohed you can tell if she has been out for food and water. Whilst she is out of the sitting area the eggs can be checked and any damaged or obviously infertile eggs can be removed. If she is sitting on a flat, open floor an 'L' shaped wooden batten will prevent the eggs rolling out of the nest. Ideally, she should be housed in a secure house and run which is safe for chicks when they hatch, chicks can easily escape from tiny gaps and may get lost or killed by predators, including cats, and even other hens will kill chicks.
Royal Mail and Paypal
Returns and refunds
Hi all
Anothersharing of knowledge on UK law if that's ok.
I came across an item today where the seller had, rather rudely, added that:
"Returns accepted when paid through PayPal only if not as described [sic]. Items that are sold as seen or job lots are excluded. Full refund will be given when goods returned. Postage excluded. Please return recorded for your own safety."
And so on. Aside from a career in writing small-print for loan sharks, I think the customer service is way off here. But that's not why I'm writing. I'm actually going to comment on the illegality of this disclaimer.
This is my second review and again, I'm sorry, but this is for UK law only.
There are four main reasons why an item from e-Bay might be returned: 1) faulty/damaged/broken, 2) not as described, 3) buyer change of mind (due to error, finance, change of heart etc) and 4)mis-delivery by the post office.
1. If an item is delivered faulty/damaged/broken, and was not sold as such, the seller is legally bound to refund. They may well claim their loss from the Royal Mail after, but they CAN NOT pass on the cost to the buyer. (Of course, this doesn't apply if the buyer is clumsy and broke it themselves!)
Items can be sold as faulty, as long as their sale doesn't transcend obvious other laws such as Health
Coin that is sure to go up in Value.
NOW who would not like to know that.
I know of one coin you should buy now
IT is a coin that I missed,I know about it,I talked about it.
But I missed it
THE mint was selling 2006-W UNC Silver Eagle for 19.95
I watched this coin for 3 weeks, and said I need to buy some of these.
Last week I check out the mint's site. and they were SOLD OUT.
This the mint will make about 4 to 5 million 2006 silver eagles without the W mint mark
I think that the mintage on the very scarce 2006 W Silver Eagle will be less than one million.
Now I want you to take a look at your red book and Please check the mintage of the 1996 Silver Eagle.
I think you are with me now.
GO out and see what you can buy 2006-W Silver Eagles FOR.
8 days ago the mint had them for $19.95, See What they are now
BUY THEM they will never be CHEAPER than they are NOW.
Importing a watch from overseas...... the truth !!!!
PLEASE VOTE ON THIS GUIDE AT THE BOTTOM!!!
I recently imported an expensive swiss watch from the USA for half the UK RRP!!!!
I simply found the watch I wanted, looked what was on offer (new) on eBay in the UK(both private sellers and shops), then searched on international sellers.
I found my watch for sale on eBay (US seller) but was unsure what to do as the seller only accepted bank wire international money transfer and didnt accept PAYPAL internationally. I looked into this and found out it only cost 20 to send it from my bank.
The seller was emailed numerous times to ensure what I was getting was correct and that I had all of the neccessary details to pass to my bank. I placed the order and did the transfer.
5 days later I was wearing a brand new Tag Heuer F1 chronograph watch.
I wont say whether or not I paid any import taxes or duties...... all I can say is I am very, very happy!!!
I would recommend looking into this yourself.... but beware.... be prepared to pay 25% of what the watch is worth in taxes and duties if you get caught. I allowed for this and it was still cheaper than buying in the UK.
Just makesure you know what you are getting (ie - P

Fake Nokia 8800 Sirocco gold
I wrote a brief guide previously detailing a purchase of a fake Nokia 8800 Sirocco. I must stress that on eBay I have recently seen many listings inwhich the seller is trying to convince bidders that their gold Sirocco is genuine by typing in *#0000# to give a reading of Nokia 8800 Sirocco 3.51 RM-165. This does not necessarily mean the phone is genuine. Furthermore, it is desirable to have a software version of 3.93 or above because of the many problems when the Sirocco phones first came out. I believe there is now a 4.10 version.
A number of authorities state that one can not buy a gold Sirocco that is genuine for 300-400. I think this is very correct. The phone retailed on the Nokia website at 849. I have just visited eBay Express, which is a dedicated store section of eBay and have found that one store is selling Nokia 8800 Sirocco gold phones for 999. This is a somewhat understandable increase in price owing to the high demand. Additionally, this includes the full 24 month warranty. If you really want to get a gold Sirocco, then this is a reliable retailer. Yes, it is a lot of money, but you will have the genuine article. However, one needs to appreciate that there is absolutely no difference in functionality of the Sirocco phones black, silver and gold. I own a black Sirocco and was looking for a gold one as a spare because I use my phone considerably on a day-to-day basis, e.g. organiser and music. Eventually, I bought a Nokia 8600 luna. This is a very nice phone with more features that the Sirocco. Significantly, the luna can use a USB cable to transfer data rather than just having to rely upon bluetooth, as with the Sirocco. Importantly, I know of no fake 8600 luna phones circulating.
As soon as a mobile phone enters the jewellery role, it opens up the market for fakes just as for watches.
One very last point relating to quality of manufacture. Both my Nokia 8800 Sirocco and 8600 luna are made in Germany. Both these phones are crafted with engineering precision. The Germans are unparalleled in such quality. I am just curious where all the genuine 8800 Sirocco gold phones are made. Are they really all made in Finland, or is this the people trying to sell fakes using this country of manufacture because of the origin of Nokia?
Coping With The Ups and Downs of Life on eBay
There are some lovely people trading on eBay, but there are also some who are, shall I say, less pleasant, so a short story to set the scene and show an example of each type.
A few months ago I wrote a CD review on eBay for a disc I was selling and then forgot about it. I get paid for writing book reviews from time to time, so I didn't feel too bothered about doing any more until I got an email last week from an eBayer who'd read my review and felt it was very good. I had some others CDs for sale, one of which they were interested in, and asked why I'd not reviewed them.
Having been prompted I wrote reviews for all the CDs I had for sale, plus some others that crossed my mind at the time. By Monday evening of this week I had over 30 reviews plus a couple of guides to my name, and my new eBay friend was kind enough to check them all out. From some questions that they raised I ammended the reviews and guides and hoped that others might find them useful. Certainly others had been looking.
Yesterday I logged on to eBay to list some items. As my page opened I saw that I was now a Top 1000 Reviewer. I clicked on the link and, sure enough, there I was in the 800s. I clicked out to list my items and saw that I'd gone back to Top 5000. Odd I thought, and went back into the Reviews and Guides page and, as I sat there refreshing the page constantly and watching the numbers change one by one, in the space of just over a minute someone gave me an unhelpful vote for no less that 28 reviews and guides.
Now there was no way that anyone was reading them that quickly, so the only explanation was that they wanted to reduce my rating. They certainly did that, as I dropped almost 1000 places down the table, so I hope that the individual concerned is happy with their work.
So there you have an example of the good and the bad: On the one hand a member who takes the time to contact another, thanks them for something and seeks advice that has been freely given. On the other hand you have someone who has acted in a petty and vindictive manner.
How will I remember this week on eBay? By the kind person who has been in touch about my reviews, and from the transactions I have completed with people who have been a credit to eBay.
It is a fact that eBay reflects life in general. You will come across all sorts of people, so remember the ones who have made your day a little better and don't let the other sort get under your skin. Life's too short and they are not worth you worrying about.
