Quadzillaor Honda ??
If your trying to decide on a utility quad then do read on.....
I work on a large private estate and need a reliable utility quad tohelp meon a daily basisby pulling asmall trailer.
After much research and not really having the funds to purchase a Honda or any other well known brand I decided to purchasea chinese model as these are much cheaper.
The make and model I chose was the not so cheap Quadzilla jow300e I purchasedthis in person from a local dealer who assured methis modelwas a utility vehicle and would be perfect for my needs.
I owned the Quadzilla for just 3 months during which time.....
The drive chain required constant tightening.
Brake cables required constant adjustment.
Indicator switch got stuck whilst indicating left.
Whilst reversing the bike always stutteredor stalled.
Occasional juddering of bikewhen turning corners.
The lock on the rear storage compartment fell apart.
Thise vehiclesounded and felt like it had just one gear, I was toldit was fitted with a cvt system which was like an automatic, perhaps this was not working but I never once heard or felt anything changing, it was one tone with a constant increase in noise the more I applied the throttle. This vehicle was garaged at night but the last straw for me was one day when it was out in a shower, I stopped the engine whilst loading my trailer thenit would not start on the electrics and to use pull cord was back breaking! After many phone calls to the supplying dealer I found the back up service and 1 year warranty worthless. After2 weeks of frustration and false promises of engineer coming out to look at it for me I decided to look at it myself,I traced starting problem to water in the starter motor.
In my opinion this vehicle was not suitable for my requirements so I sold it and bought myself a new Honda 420 es. 6 weeks later the supplying quadzilla dealer phoned me and apologised for taking so long to get back to me but he could come out next week!
I have now had my Honda for 13 months, 10 months longerthan ihad the quadzilla butthis honda hasnot once shown any sign of faults, nor required anyattention or ever let me down, no wonder Honda give a 2 year warranty!I purchased my Honda from Daltons ATV on the internet, these guys are excellent, I did have it routinely serviced by my local Honda dealers whom i have found very reliable.I am very pleased with my Honda experience; this machine does have gears and a lot more power, there is just no comparison it's such a pleasure to work with.
The Honda was a lot more expensive, I lost money on the Quadzilla but I could have saved myself a lot more money and frustration by going for Honda in the first place.
I have learnt my lesson, please dont make the same mistake!!
